NEW: U.S. Attorney Confirms Investigation, IRS Involved

Friday, March 21, 2014

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Rhode Island has confirmed the IRS is involved in an ongoing investigation in Rhode Island, following a raid of the office of Rhode Island Speaker of the House Gordon Fox.

Speaker Fox's State House office was closed this morning, with State Police posted outside the door.

"I'm not going to offer any comment at all, but to confirm the obvious, that there is a federal and state law enforcement presence at the State House in an ongoing law enforcement matter," said Jim Martin with the Office.

When asked about the parties involved, Martin said, "It's the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI, the Rhode Island State Police, and the Internal Revenue Service."

Editors Note:  Martin said that he could not confirm an investigation into Speaker Fox, only that there was an ongoing law enforcement matter, as part of which the U.S. Attonery's office had executed two federal search warrants.

Wow. Rhode Island can't govern itself, we have to rely on the FBI and IRS to provide justice and the rule of law.

I hope all those involved have the decency to resign, though I doubt they will.

And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

Bleep, the body isn't even cold and the stooges are lining up to take his place in droves. "I don't like this Speaker Fox" but still, they're treating him like a Republican. Et tu? Not Guilty until proven otherwise????? --- how soon the stooges develop the lean and hungry look. If you set out to kill the King.....

The "rewards" for being Speaker must be many, considering how the stooges are willing to trample each other to take hi splace.

What? There might be some questionable behavior at the Capitol? Nah, can't be. The leaders of this state are all so upright and honest - NOT!

These raid must stop. They're bad for business.

Last week the FBI where blocked by Eric Holder In a Harry Reid Corruption Probe.
GORDON FOX should have been more friendly with the Obama administration and could have avoided this ugly scene in his office today.
But since Fox is a Democrat the feds will probably drop the investigation.

Kick backs, brown envelopes stuffed with cash. That's how business is done in this State.

Hopefully this leads to something significant like 38 Studio's or DeepWater both of which had deals that quite obviously were only made possible through brown envelopes stuffed with cash.

When a democrat appointed Federal attorney starts treating a democrat leader like a Republican, there's trouble.

And as the democrats say every time they smear a Republican from one end of the country to the other..."It's not amount of the evidence, it's the SERIOUSNESS of the CHARGE which matters"
